Venezuela signs course for the Basketball World Cup with victory over Argentina

Venezuela maintained its unbeaten record in the Basketball Pre-World Cup (three presentations), by beating the local Argentina 58-71 at the Obras Sanitarias gym in Buenos Aires, as part of the start of the second window of the 2023 Pre-World Cup.

Production from the bench, tactical discipline and dominance of the boards in almost the entire game was fundamental for the Venezuelan triumph, their third without defeats in the tie.

The first quarter was dominated by the basketball team, who showed precision in the shots near the basket to dominate the first quarter 17-27.

For the second, the leading role of Colmenares was felt by capturing offensive rebounds and with two of them they quickly became four points while the Argentines apart from Brussino, who had ten in the first half, could never do much more than that. the first half will end 34-46.

The 12-point lead was maintained in the third quarter (49-61). For the last set, the hosts tried it with triples, but Venezuela kept their focus.
