Mass reports and keyboard haters unleashed against Atalanta’s Ukrainian player, Ruslan Malinovskyi. To light the fuse were some posts in which the footballer supported his country and tried to raise public awareness against the war.
Malinovskyi himself gave the news of the attack, who explained in a post on Facebook: «I almost lost access to this page from hundreds of spam and propaganda reports on my profile photo. Well, they don’t like a truth, but there’s nothing to hide. We will not give up! ».
In recent days, appeals via social media by Ruslan Malinovskyi and his wife Roksana continued to support the cause of their country at war. Alongside the images of the bombing devastation in the Poznyaki district, on the left bank of the Dnieper, and the statue of the Motherland of Kiev, the Atalanta midfielder linked the bank details for donations to the non-governmental organization ‘Come back alive‘, active since 2014 in support of military operations in Donbass under effective Russian control. Roksana, for her part, displayed the Ukrainian flag in the window of her fashion shop in the center of Bergamo, Atelier Mali, together with the sign ‘Stop war in Ukraine’: “Pray for my country”, the superimposed writing in the stories of Instagram.
