“We’re up for it”: Münster hopes to win against RWE

After the 2-0 win against Ahlen, the Preußen Münster players were already thinking about the next big game against Rot-Weiss Essen. They have big plans in this game.

Eight days before the Westschlager, Münster’s Nicolai Remberg was happy in two ways. On the one hand because of the previous 2-0 win, on the other hand because of the fact that he survived the game against Rot Weiss Ahlen without a yellow card. Because that would have been tantamount to a ban – and a seat in the grandstand at the top game in Essen. “I held back a bit,” said the 21-year-old, visibly relieved after the repeated home win.

This means that there is no stopping Remberg, who has been in Münster’s starting eleven in every game to date, from playing in Essen, nor does central defender Marcel Hoffmeier. Like midfielder Remberg, he is one of the top performers in the Hildmann team – and before the regional league highlight he made a self-confident declaration of war in the direction of the Ruhr area. “We want to take the flow against Essen. We’re up for it, we have to be aggressive.” For the 1.82 meter tall defender there is a big goal in the duel between the Essen team and Munster: “We hope to get the three points!”

The boys are good.

Sascha Hildmann on RWE

SCP trainer Sascha Hildmann was as calm as usual and did not want to publicly comment on the table constellation and the narrow and late 1-0 win of Essen at VfB Homberg. “I don’t want to know anything about it, it’s useless,” affirmed Hildmann. Nevertheless, the ex-Lauterer made no secret of the fact that the away game with the Neidhart team should be something special for the SCP. “I’m looking forward to it, this week will be nice.”

The coming week should probably be the best for Hildmann when the gap to RWE would be only two points on Sunday afternoon. But the Eagle Bearers, who will travel to Hafenstrasse with 800 fans, absolutely have to win the table leaders. However, it shouldn’t be easy for a team that has won a whopping nine of twelve home games – which the trainer from Münster also knows. “They have quality, the boys are good,” said the 49-year-old Prussian before the week of truth with great respect.
