The wildest rumors about Jannik Sinner‘s new super coach have been circulating for around two weeks. Now another prominent name is added.

Sinner himself had repeatedly got the rumor mill going by leaking that he wanted to add a new prominent coach to his supervisory staff around his trainer Riccardo Piatti. Since then, international media have been speculating about the name of the supposed super coach.
Tennis legend John McEnroe recently brought himself into the conversation. After the defeat against Tstisipas on Wednesday, Sinner was again asked about the subject at the press conference. “Now is not the time to say anything,” explained Sinner. As has been leaked, the secret will be revealed soon.
Trail leads to Becker
Sinner also gave a new clue on Wednesday: “I already know the name of the trainer. It’s someone who has a similar story to mine.” Then, among other things, brought the Gazzetta dello Sport brought the name of Boris Becker into play, who himself was once a top talent. He gained worldwide fame at the age of 17 with his Wimbledon victory. As a coach, he has been alongside world No. 1 Novak Djokovic for a long time.

As an expert of the TV station Eurosport Becker has often spoken about the up-and-coming Sinner in recent years. Lately he is said to have talked remarkably little about the 20-year-old South Tyrolean in his show “Matchball Becker”. Could this be another clue? Maybe, but Becker was also traded as Alexander Zverev‘s new coach for a long time and in the end nothing came of it. The next days and weeks will bring light into the darkness.
