Rogelio Castro Hernández, a 17-year-old table tennis player from Xalapeño, is in Europe to take part in at least 13 tournaments to be held in several countries that will serve as preparation for the next Olympic Games.
The representative of Veracruz and a member of the San Sebastián de los Reyes Club, is the best ranked Mexican table tennis player at the international level and is participating in the Honor Division with his club, which is in second place at the international level.

Castro Hernández has been living in Madrid, Spain since September 17, 2021, where he has been training for six hours a day with his mind set on tournaments to be held in France, Belgium, Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic, Argentina, Croatia, Finland. , Hungary and Slovakia.
The xalapeño not only works in his discipline, he also does it with his professional studies in the career of Administration and Finance.
During the year he will participate monthly in world circuits that will give him the opportunity to climb positions in the international ranking and thus appear in tournaments representing Mexico with a better competitive level.

Rogelio Castro began to practice this discipline since he was a child, which in recent years has gained ground and the sample is in the numerous athletes from Veracruz who are competing in important events in the country.
The xalapeño at 11 years of age was proclaimed national and Central American table tennis champion, he was also fifth in Latin America.
She participated in the National Olympics, today the Conade National Games, with excellent results, thanks to the full support of her parents, Oralia Hernández Benavides and Rogelio Castro Crespo. She has also represented Mexico in a Central American Championship that was held in Costa Rica, as well as in the Latin American Championship in Lima, Peru.
The athlete is an organized and disciplined native from Veracruz, because he has managed to excel in table tennis at an international level and although he always travels, he finds time to have fun with his friends and enjoy his parents.
THE AGENDA
His first competition will be in France from the 14th to the 20th of this month and he will continue his tour in Belgium. From March 29 to April 2 it will be presented in Slovakia, while from April 27 to May 3, in Austria.
From May 24 to 30, the Veracruz native will participate in Spain and from June 6 to 12 in the Czech Republic. He will also attend the Pan American Youth Championships to be held in Rosario, Argentina from May 26-31.
He will return to Europe again to play a tournament in Slovakia from August 30 to September 5; then he will travel to Croatia.
He will visit Finland to compete from September 8 to 10 and will do so during the Para Open 2022; It will be presented in Austria from September 26 to October 2 and from November 3 to 9 in Hungary to end its tour in Slovakia from November 7 to 13.
