the preview
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am serves as the grand finale among the extravagant setups along the West Coast Swing, featuring a mix of actors, athletes, musicians and more, each paired with a pro in a three-course rotation before a 54 hole court. precedes Sunday’s final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula aren’t intimidating on paper, with each par 72 measuring less than 7,100 yards and featuring wide landing areas without much trouble off the tee, but the small poa greens emphasize the importance of precision on these. shorter approaches. . The pro-am format can be awful at times despite the beautiful scenery, attracting one of the weakest fields we’ll see this season, while a much stronger contingent plays abroad at the Saudi International this week. There is essentially no threat of severe weather at Pebble Beach, with moderate winds expected throughout the tournament as favorable scoring conditions persist.

cream of the crop
patrick cantlay – $52
The best player on the course this week by more than 10 spots in the Official World Golf Ranking, Cantlay is priced at just $1 more than a struggling player. Jordan Spieth ($51), who has missed an average of 2.6 shots with his irons per event over his last five measured starts. Cantlay’s odds of winning have risen to a Rahm-like level of 6/1 in certain books, so $52 isn’t an overpay in Yahoo’s DFS market. Cantlay has put up T3-T11 here at Pebble the past two years, and hasn’t missed tee-to-green anywhere since last April’s RBC Heritage.
justin rose – $41
Rose is unsurpassed in Chances Earned in his last 12 rounds, coming off a T6 performance at the Farmers Insurance Open where he placed 5th in SG: Approach on the South Course at Torrey Pines. Plus, the 41-year-old Englishman’s putting has been pretty satisfying of late, getting at least one shot on the greens in five straight starts since the Wyndham Championship. He has only played this event twice, but Rose tied for sixth in his AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am debut in 2016.
glue boys
Inconformista McNealy – $37
It’s officially McNealy’s chalk week at Pebble Beach, where he used to live just off the 15th green before moving to Las Vegas after graduating from Stanford. The Portola Valley native posted five consecutive top-30 finishes from the ZOZO Championships through last week’s FIO, where he racked up 18 total birdies and two eagles while averaging an elite 1,558 putts per GIR. He finished second here behind the defending champion. Daniel Berger last year, which was preceded by another top-5 finish for McNealy at Pebble in 2020.
Lanto griffin – $35
As players flock to McNealy and jason day ($35) at this range, Griffin certainly deserves attention as a pivot after winning nine collective shots from tee to green in his last two starts at the American Express and Farmers Insurance Open. He also lit up with the flat stick en route to his T3 in AmEx, propelling him to second place in Birdie percentage or better in his last 12 rounds. Griffin tied for ninth in his most recent trip to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am two years ago.
kevin streelman – $35
Streelman should be popular as a horse for the course with four career top-10 finishes and six consecutive top-20 finishes here, also dominating the Pro-Am portion along with fellow player and Scottsdale-area resident Larry Fitzgerald. Streelman won 3.1 strokes with his irons last week at Torrey Pines, and he ranks third in this week’s field in 100-125 yard proximity in his last 12 rounds. During this same period, he is also in the top 15 for both scrambling and SG: Around-the-Green.
bargain bin
russell knox – $22
Although he missed the cut in the AmEx after finishing in the top 10 in Hawaii, Knox remains No. 1 in GIR percentage in his last 12 rounds and is 10th on the Tour by proximity this season. Knox has cracked the top 15 in three of four appearances at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am since 2018, and won 5.2 strokes with his irons en route to a T7 here last year. He’s generally a poor putter, but Knox has actually won 5.4 collective strokes on the greens in his last five trips to Pebble.
Pat Perez – $20
This will be Perez’s 20th career performance at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where he missed the cut only four times, nearly matching his trio of top-10 finishes. He recently bounced back from three consecutive missed cuts by tied for sixth at Torrey Pines last week, placing fifth among the FIO field in SG: Putting and sixth in SG: Approach. The former ASU Sun Devil loves West Coast Swing and is ranked 11th in SG: Putting on Greens in his last 36 rounds.
