In the first installments of Mortal Kombat, Liu Kang was clearly poised to be Earthrealm’s premier champion. However, the stakes are raised on Deadly Alliance when recurring bad guys Shang Tsung and Shinnok manage to take out both Shao Khan and Liu Kang. In the next two games, the former Shaolin warrior becomes a zombie trying to take revenge on those who murdered him.
When the continuity was restarted, Liu Kang fell out of favor again. Disillusioned by Raiden’s manipulations, he was killed by the god of thunder. He and all the other killed fighters came back to life in Mortal Kombat X.

Gelu is one of the heroes of the turn-based strategy title Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon’s Blade. He is a very skilled ranger in archery and guerrilla warfare. Sarah Kerrigan was a highly trained psychic assassin who rose through the ranks of a resistance movement known as the Sons of Korhal. In the first StarCraftshe and Jim Raynor are ordered to aid the uprising against the Confederacy of Man on Antiga Prime.
When the Confederacy sets up a blockade, the resistance attempts to use a psi emitter to lure out a hostile alien race known as the Zerg Swarm. Unfortunately, Kerrigan is captured by the invading Zerg and left for dead. However, instead of dying, she becomes the new leader of the swarm, being nicknamed The Queen of Leaves.

Kazuya Mishima is the son of Heihachi, the leader of a crime syndicate known as the Mishima Zaibatsu. When Kazuya was just a boy, Heihachi threw him off a cliff in an attempt to test his strength.
At Tekken In the original version, Kazuya shows up for the King of Iron Fist Tournament with the intention of taking revenge on his evil father. He proceeds to usurp the organization, succumbing to the devil gene and becoming more ruthless than even Heihachi. On Tekken 2assumes the role of main villain, and Heihachi enters the tournament to finish off his son.
1 Big Boss Was Revealed To Be The Leader Of Outer Heaven In Metal Gear
In the first Metal Gear for MSX, special forces agent Solid Snake is tasked by commanding officer Big Boss to break into the enemy base known as Outer Heaven and prevent the terrorists that inhabit it from unleashing the weapon of the same name. However, it is later revealed that Big Boss is the leader. The sequel also reveals that he is Snake’s father before he is apparently killed by Snake.
Big Boss’s death was the catalyst for the Solid series, as he denied Liquid Snake the revenge he craved and caused the Shadow Moses incident. Big Boss’s fall from grace is further explored in Metal Gear Solid 3, Peace Walker and V.
