When the continuity was restarted, Liu Kang fell out of favor again. Disillusioned by Raiden’s manipulations, he was killed by the god of thunder. He and all the other killed fighters came back to life in Mortal Kombat X.

Kazuya Mishima is the son of Heihachi, the leader of a crime syndicate known as the Mishima Zaibatsu. When Kazuya was just a boy, Heihachi threw him off a cliff in an attempt to test his strength.

At Tekken In the original version, Kazuya shows up for the King of Iron Fist Tournament with the intention of taking revenge on his evil father. He proceeds to usurp the organization, succumbing to the devil gene and becoming more ruthless than even Heihachi. On Tekken 2assumes the role of main villain, and Heihachi enters the tournament to finish off his son.

1 Big Boss Was Revealed To Be The Leader Of Outer Heaven In Metal Gear

In the first Metal Gear for MSX, special forces agent Solid Snake is tasked by commanding officer Big Boss to break into the enemy base known as Outer Heaven and prevent the terrorists that inhabit it from unleashing the weapon of the same name. However, it is later revealed that Big Boss is the leader. The sequel also reveals that he is Snake’s father before he is apparently killed by Snake.

Big Boss’s death was the catalyst for the Solid series, as he denied Liquid Snake the revenge he craved and caused the Shadow Moses incident. Big Boss’s fall from grace is further explored in Metal Gear Solid 3, Peace Walker and V.
