Lianyungang Reports seven New COVID-19 Cases, outlines Activity Trajectories
lianyungang, China – On March 6th, the Lianyungang City Emergency Response headquarters announced seven new COVID-19 cases, including three asymptomatic infections. The city is taking swift action to contain the spread, with extensive contact tracing and testing underway.
As of 9:00 PM on March 5th, authorities had identified 336 close contacts and 556 sub-close contacts. All 579 individuals identified as potentially exposed have been placed under centralized quarantine. Environmental sampling and disinfection are ongoing at relevant locations.

Case 1: Initially presented at a fever clinic and was diagnosed with mild COVID-19.
Cases 2 & 3: Close contacts of Case 1, both diagnosed with mild COVID-19.
Case 4: Also a close contact of Case 1, diagnosed with common type COVID-19.
All confirmed cases are receiving treatment at designated medical facilities in Lianyungang and are reported to be in stable condition.Asymptomatic Infections:
Three individuals, all close contacts of Case 1, have tested positive but are asymptomatic.They are currently under medical observation at designated facilities and are also in stable condition.
Potential Exposure Locations:
preliminary investigations indicate that the newly confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections frequented various locations in Lianyungang between February 26th and March 3rd. These locations include:
Educational Institutions: Training institutes, dance classes, music stores, and tutoring centers.
Retail and Dining: Department stores, restaurants, food stalls, and dessert shops.
Entertainment Venues: Game halls, karaoke bars, and cinemas.* Residential Areas: apartment buildings and underground parking lots.

The Lianyungang City Emergency response Headquarters urges anyone who visited the listed locations during the specified dates to instantly report their information to the local CDC, township (street) office, or workplace.
