In the splendid setting of the Sibillini Mountains, the boys and girls of the Betti Comprehensive Institute, in particular those of the Boccati di Camerino secondary school, took part in a day on the snow.
About fifty students have taken advantage of an agreement, the so-called “Community Pacts”, which provides for a close collaboration between the Comprehensive Institute and the Camerino University Sports Center to promote opportunities for socialization and the carrying out of cultural and sporting activities for boys and girls that provides many sports including: athletics, sport climbing, judo, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, archery, etc. ..
Among the activities implemented by the Comprensivo Betti there are also activities in the snow. “As an Institute we wanted to enhance – underlines the Dean Francesco Rosati – the local operators and for this reason the exit on March 10 took place in Frontignano which recently, after a six-year stop imposed by the earthquake emergency before and by the Covid emergency then reactivated the ski lifts. The boys and girls, accompanied by some teachers of the Boccati Institute, were able to follow the ski lessons and spend an entire day on the snow, using the refreshment point which was much appreciated ».
The principal Rosati also wanted to thank the support and organization provided by Cus Camerino and the president Stefano Belardinelli who followed the logistics and coordinated the activities with additional operators, identified among the technicians and collaborators of the Cus Camerinothus contributing to the success of the day.
The good weather has rewarded everyone’s commitment and made this day unforgettable for the boys and girls, which is the first real outing after the pandemic and a prelude to other outings. “There is great personal satisfaction – concludes the Dean Rosati – for having entertained the children and for giving them the opportunity to do a sporting activity that, perhaps, for some of them can become a sport that they will practice in the future, but also for having given the opportunity to increase the work done by local operators who are working hard for a recovery of the territory ».
Laura Sestili, councilor of the Province of Macerata with delegations to the school network and transport, is also very satisfied with the initiative, who sees this union of intentions between school, mobility and transport as a great opportunity to enhance our mountains starting with young people.
