Yesterday was the first day of activities for the state basketball team, in the Catwalk category, of the Federated Olympiad, in Mineral de la Reforma.
It was the La Providencia neighborhood that became the focus of basketball since all the matches of the 2009-2010 category were held there.
With the presentation of 22 teams, from municipalities such as Pachuca, Ixmiquilpan, Progreso and Tulancingo, 10 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams met. The actions began early, with the development of the group stage matches, which delivered tickets to the semifinals.
According to David Quiterio, leader of the Hidalgo Basketball Association (AHB), the level shown by the teams gives a good feeling for the national stage of the Federated Olympiad, which will take place in June, in Pachuca and Mineral de la Reforma. .
“I think we have good guys, some flashes have already been shown in previous weekends, with the celebration of the selections in other divisions, and I think we will do a good job now that we will be the host,” he declared.
