There is a lot of talk about the fear represented by the iron shot at the start of the formidable hole n°17 and its green on the island of the Players course. But ask Australian Adam Scott what he thinks of the equally punishing 18th!
Before the first break on Thursday morning, Adam Scott had time to complete the 9 return holes but not exactly as he had hoped.
Starting from the 10th, the Australian showed up at the start of the 18th, 1 shot on par. But a few moments later, when the siren sounded, the 34th player in the world was at the bottom of the ranking at +3.
Indeed, Scott left twice consecutively at fault on this delicate par 4 bordered by a water hazard on the left. His 5th shot found the fairway but the winner of the Masters 2013 came off the green with a expensive quadruple bogey and the feeling that history is repeating itself!
The par-4 18th can be nasty.

Repeated twice
Already in 2016, he had “drank the broth” twice on this terrible last hole.
It was still during the first round when, after seeing his faceoff plunge into the lake, it was his almost impossible approach from the back of the green that had ended its course in the water. Result, another quadruple bogey,
A beautiful hole that can be a beast.

That year, Adam Scott had still managed to rank 12th at the end of the 4 laps.
We wish him to manage to get back in the saddle but it seems badly started since on the 9 holes of the first leg when the game resumes, he recorded 3 bogeys and only appears in 125th place in the provisional ranking at + 6.
