Dane Iffe Lundberg (1.93m, 27) has terminated his contract with CSKA Moscow, and various sources announce that he is in the process of signing a two-way contract with an NBA franchise, which could be the Phoenix Suns.
“I had to make a very difficult decision, a decision based on the security of my family’s well-being. I would like to thank all CSKA staff and organization. I would like to personally thank Mr. Andrei Vatoutine (Editor’s note: the president), Miss Natalia Furaeva and most importantly, coach Dimitris Itoudis for betting on me and giving me the opportunity to play in the Euroleague for the first time” , he commented.
Last summer, the Dane had already had opportunities in the NBA but CSKA convinced him to stay in Russia with a lucrative 2+1 contract. This season, he was the author of 9.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the Euroleague. The war in Ukraine therefore made him change his plans.
