Rayane Bounida has been known for years as a great talent. The attacking midfielder has become a real phenomenon thanks to his fabulous technique – also on social media. 346,000 followers on Instagram, or fifty percent more than Anderlecht itself. Bounida also got to know big names. He made promotional films for Nike with Eden Hazard and he practiced new tricks with world freestyle champion Séan Garnier.
The Purple & White were eager to see Bounida break through in the Lotto Park and offered the boy a professional contract when he was 15. Despite the efforts of Anderlecht, Bounida did not make his scratch. The financial aspect certainly had something to do with that, but not everything.
Bounida now wants to develop further at the Dutch top club Ajax. He signed a contract there until the end of June 2025. “The 16-year-old attacking midfielder will come over from Anderlecht this summer,” the team from Amsterdam report. “After his transfer to Ajax, the Belgian youth international will be added to the superstructure of the youth academy.”
