This notable international success comes at a pivotal moment for the Fujiyama club. After four decades as a founding member of the Castilla-La Mancha judo Federation, the club has made the strategic decision to align itself wiht the Valenciana and Madrileña federations. This move, according to the club’s statement, reflects a desire to pursue a training and competition philosophy more in line with their long-standing values and goals. While they have chosen to pursue opportunities in other federations, the Fujiyama club remains hopeful that they will one day have the chance to represent Castilla-La Mancha judo on the international stage.

Miguel: It’s a pleasure to be here!

Moderator: You’ve had an illustrious career in judo, representing Spain on the world stage. I wanted to get your take on the recent performance of the Fujiyama Albacete Judo Club at the Adidas minimes Saint Cyprien International Judo Tournament in France. Two young athletes secured extraordinary finishes, with Carla Castillejos Castaño winning silver and Valeria Rodríguez fedorova placing sixth. What are your thoughts on their accomplishment?

Miguel: It’s fantastic to see such talent coming out of Albacete. These young judokas are clearly dedicated and skilled. A silver medal on the international stage is a remarkable achievement, especially in such a competitive tournament. It speaks volumes about the coaching they are receiving and their sheer hard work.

moderator: Absolutely. this international success comes at a crucial juncture for the club. After four decades with the Castilla-La Mancha Judo Federation, fujiyama has decided to align itself with the Valenciana and Madrileña federations. What are your thoughts on this move, especially given your own experience representing Spain in international competitions?

Miguel: It’s a bold decision.Changing federations is never easy, but sometimes it’s necessary for growth. Knowing the club’s dedication to values and goals, they likely made this decision after careful consideration. Perhaps they weren’t finding the resources or training beliefs they needed within Castilla-La Mancha. The valenciana and Madrileña federations are known for their strong judo programs, so this move could provide Fujiyama’s athletes with new opportunities to develop and compete at a higher level.

Moderator: Interesting point. Do you think this move might create a kind of rivalry or tension between the federations?

Miguel: It’s possible in the short term, especially during competitions.but ultimately, the focus should be on the development of young athletes. Healthy competition can be beneficial, pushing everyone to improve. Hopefully, the federations will maintain a positive and collaborative spirit, focusing on the shared goal of fostering judo excellence within spain.

Moderator: Now, let’s talk about Carla and Valeria specifically. What advice would you give these young athletes as they continue their judo journeys?

Miguel: Firstly, congratulations to both girls on their achievements. My advice would be to stay humble, work relentlessly, and remember the joy of the sport. International competitions are demanding, but they also provide invaluable experience. Learn from every match, regardless of the outcome. Surround yourselves with a supportive team of coaches and mentors, and always strive to improve.
