Quebecer Nathan Cayo will participate in the NCAA basketball tournament commonly known as March Madness.
Cayo and his team, the University of Richmond Spiders, qualified for this prestigious championship by winning the Atlantic-10 Division Finals.
The Spiders won 64-62 over the Davidson College Wildcats.
Cayo is in his fifth season with the University of Richmond. The 6’7″ player has averaged 8.7 points per game this season.
The Montreal native, who plays as a forward, will play his first NCAA championship. The Spiders haven’t played since 2011.
Cayo thus joins the promising Bennedict Mathurin among the Quebecers who will be highlighted during the March Madness.
