In the Announcement says:
Apple is the ideal partner to bring Friday Night Baseball closer to fans around the world. After milestones like the launch of At Bat on day one of the App Store in 2008 and the integration of Apple technology into ballparks across the country, this robust new game pack is the perfect next collaboration in our long history of bringing our fans quality and innovation to offer content. With national availability and international reach, MLB on Apple TV+ offers fans an exciting new platform that allows a larger audience to connect with the game.
