The sanctions imposed by the British government on Abramovich and Chelsea made the Russian tycoon take decisive steps by selling his club.
Previously, the British government took steps to freeze Abramovich’s assets, including Chelsea, so that the tycoon did not receive an inflow of funds from his club.
Chelsea, who was frozen, also received severe sanctions that disrupted the club’s operations, such as selling tickets, merchandise and transferring players.
