“For the moment, the year 2022 is the last of the commitment made between the club, the Federation and the city of Vittel”, explains Philippe Mangin. An agreement made in 2016, and which therefore saw Vittel be designated host city of these “France” six times (from 2016 to 2022, without edition in 2021 due to the Covid, Editor’s note).

This year, nearly 400 archers are expected to go blow for blow during the two and a half days of competition. Among them, two Vosgiens (in this case, two Thaonnais) could do well: Valentin Joubert and Marie Lejeune. The first, engaged in compound bow, is having a very good season, as evidenced by his title of champion of the Vosges obtained at the end of January. The second, who had reached the quarter-finals of the French championships in 2019, would necessarily like to rise among the best archers in France. Two other Lorrainers will be closely watched: Paulette Court (Dombasle) French classic senior 3 champion in 2020, and Emmanuel Masson (Dombasle), French classic senior 2 champion during the last edition as well.
