Rafael Nadal made a sensational start to the season with his victory at the Australian Open in January, toppling Daniil Medvedev in the final after being down 2 sets to 0. It was the 21st Grand Slam title for the 35-year-old Spaniard who overtook Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic to become the most successful tennis player of all time in major tournaments.
The Majorcan also won the Acapulco tournament last weekend by defeating new world number 1 Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals. He is undefeated in 15 matches this season.
