Recently separated from his mentor and now ex-coach, Riccardo Piatti, after seven years of fruitful collaboration, Jannik Sinner has decided to take charge of his career with a new coach, Simone Vagnozzi.
Winner of Serbian Djere (6-3, 6-3) this Saturday in the first round of the Indian Wells Masters 1000, the 10e world player returned to the importance of watching matches to progress, live or on video.
“In general, I like to watch the matches, and live is better because on TV you watch but you understand a little less. If you’re there, you see better if it’s windy, if it’s sunny, the conditions outside of tennis. I also watch my matches of course, especially the ones I lost, I do more video analysis than before. But that’s only one part, the other part is to play and test what we’re working on, it’s a whole. And today (Saturday, editor’s note), it all worked. »
