The most successful coach in the history of tennis with no less than 20 Grand Slam tournaments won with Novak Djokovic, Marian Vajda is officially no longer the coach of the Serb, journalist Sasa Ozmo announced on Monday.
Coach of the current world number 2 from June 2006 to May 2017 then from April 2018 to this Tuesday 1is March 2022, the Slovak therefore leaves Goran Ivanisevic as Nole’s sole mentor.
For the moment, no reason has been mentioned even if Vajda had on several occasions mentioned his desire to stay more often with his family. Absent in Australia as well as in Dubai, he defended Djokovic during his Australian misadventures.
