Placed at the same time as the Estoril tournament and between the ATP 500 in Barcelona and the Masters 1000 in Madrid in the calendar, the ATP 250 in Munich (from April 25 to 1is May) pulled off a big hit by luring local Alexander Zverev and one of the best players on the planet to ocher, Norway’s Casper Ruud, in quick succession.
Twice winners in Bavaria (2017 and 2018), Zverev will therefore try to win a third title and put a German player back at the top of the list after three editions, including one canceled in 2020, where they are Cristian Garin (2019) and Nikoloz Basilashvili (2021) who lifted the cut.
