Bad day for Club Badminton Guadalajara in the First National Division | NewAlcarria

During the past weekend, the second day of the First Division National Badminton League was held in Estella, Navarra, where the Guadalajara Badminton Club traveled, reduced in number, without two of its players due to medical leave.

On Saturday morning the team faced Club Bádminton Huesca losing by a tight result of 3-4, and on Saturday afternoon they faced CD Bádminton Granollers, with whom they lost 2-5. Already on Sunday morning the last game was played against the host, CB Estella, losing again by 2-5.

Despite the fact that the last two defeats may seem bulky, the reality is that all the games were even until the end, and could have been decided in favor of either team.

The full victories of Blanca Yélamos in IF 3/3 and DF 2/2 along with Ester Montero and Alicia Ruiz, and the two victories of Sergio Nieto on loan in IM 2/3 stood out. Nor should we forget Lucía Cantador, who played a great DX alongside Jorge Gálvez against CD Estella.

Finally, the debut of our senior Gonzalo Yélamos is noteworthy, who played all three games and gave a good level replacing the losses of the brothers Guillermo Arcos and Mónica Arcos, who caused loss.
