This is the third return to sport under the 3-star label, which is about to perform Amiens UC Badminton. Despite two up-and-down years linked to the pandemic, multiple business stoppages, la FFBAD renewed the labels obtained last season.
Amiens UC Badminton has structured its youth school more in recent years with more slots, especially from an early age.
Today young people can start the activity as soon as Four years, where before they started at 7 or 8 years old. It is also thanks to the system that the club has set up a “ badminton school development & performance with the aim of offering more slots, greater intensity and follow-up in competition for young people with potential or motivated by the competitive aspect and surpassing themselves.
The association’s badminton school remains mainly a school of discovery where young people aged 4 to 17 come to discover the activity without having to participate in competitions, it is always done according to their desire, that of the parents whatever the level.
It is therefore thanks to the development of the activity by the multiplication of young niches, the establishment of qualified supervision with the intervention of LUCAS PETIT (Development agent and coach of the DEJEPS Badminton graduate association) andYvon CREPELLE (Badminton monitor) but also thanks to the many volunteers which come in support of the supervision of young people that the club now sports its 3 stars. Young people travel more in competition, over a wider geographical area, proof that their level is on the rise and that their expectations are higher.
But by the way, what is a bad school?
– A French School of Badminton (also called EFB) offers a quality welcome to young people aged 4 to 17 in specific slots by age and level.
– The supervision of the sessions is provided by qualified educators.
– The EFB allows progress and participation in the first competitions for those who wish.
The AUC badminton school now has more than 70 young people competing or not. The club now hopes to increase the number of young members a little more.
It should be noted that young people, as in other sports, progress via an evaluation grid which allows them to obtain feathers ” (a bit like belts in judo or snowflakes in skiing).
Amiens University Badminton Club is today the only club affiliated with the French Federation of Badminton in the Amiens metropolis and which has a dedicated framework, trained and qualified specifically for badminton.
