The Andreas Christensen left in Catalonia is gaining momentum. According to RAC1, it seems 99 percent certain that the Danish Chelsea defender will play at FC Barcelona next season.
Christensen, 25, has played 153 appearances for Chelsea in recent years, but will run out of his contract at Stamford Bridge after this season. Earlier on Tuesday it became clear that he could soon sign for four years at the Camp Nou and it doesn’t look like there are any bears in the road.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the talks between the two parties are ‘well advanced’, although Bayern Munich also has the Dane in their sights. The usually reliable RAC1, however, speaks of an ‘acuerdo total’ and indicates that the chance of success is 99 percent.
If so, Christensen will be the first Barça signing of 2022/2023. The Catalans had already set their sights on another Chelsea defender: César Azpilicueta has won everything there is to win in the past ten years with The Bluesbut will soon also be transfer-free.
