Braunschweig (SID) – The Löwen Braunschweig from the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) will also focus on sustainability in the future and donate excess sportswear from their fan shop to a second-hand shop at the turn of the season. The proceeds benefit the work of the emergency relief and development organization Oxfam. This campaigns for a just world without poverty.
“As a club, we are aware of our social responsibility and want to take action against the unnecessary destruction of clothing and other materials. We are very happy to support such campaigns and partners as Oxfam here in Braunschweig,” said Löwen Managing Director Nils Mittmann. “With second-hand, we contribute together to a more resource-saving way of life and to climate protection,” says shop consultant Margit Löffler.
