Italian motorcyclist Enea Bastianini won the first prize in the first prize of the World Motorcycle Championship season, Qatar’s Grand Prix, on Sunday.

The race was started by pole-position owner Jorge Martins (“Pramac”), who was overtaken by another Spark Mark Marks (“Repsol Honda”). Paul Espargaro, a member of Marx’s team and compatriot, quickly became the leader, leading almost the entire race.
Four laps before the finish, he was overtaken by Bastianini (“Gresini”), who held the first place and celebrated the victory. The second was South African rider Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) and the third was Paul Espargaro ahead of his brother Aprilia.
Bastianini, a sophomore in the MotoGP class, dedicated his first victory in the top league to team founder Fausto Gresini, who passed away last year at the age of 60.
Marquee finished fifth, but last year’s champion, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (“Monster Energy Yamaha”), was ninth.
In the 12th round of the race, Martin and vice-champion Francesco Banja (Ducati Lenovo) finished the race between the Spanish and Italian drivers. Both did not suffer serious injuries in the fall.
There are 21 stages in the calendar this season and the next one will take place in two weeks in Indonesia.
