After last week’s monster win against RB Salzburg in the Champions League, Bayern was faced with the treacherous move to Hoffenheim. Just like last weekend, the Bundesliga again spilled points, the match ended 1-1.

After the 1-1 draw last weekend against Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern could use a win on the Hoffenheim field. Just after the half hour, Christoph Baumgartner opened the scoring for the home side.

Bayern tied the score fairly quickly thanks to the Lewandowski goal machine, but then the machine stalled. The German national champions are again missing points and can see Borussia Dortmund creep closer in the coming weeks.

Dortmund will play at home against Arminia Bielefeld this weekend and also have a make-up match to spare. If these are successfully closed, Bayern’s lead could be reduced to 4 points.
