Abejar will host this Saturday, March 12, 2022, the I BTTrufa, a cycling event with mountain bikes that will have two different distances and that is part of the XIX Soria Truffle Fair in Abejar, held on the 19th and 20th of February with a large number of attendees.
Near 150 participants will meet in this new test, a limit set by the organization in this first edition in which the available places were filled in just one week.
The mountain biking sports event will tour the town and Abejar and its surroundings, with ascents to the Mountain range of Cabrejas and entering the Sabinar, passing through some of the main truffle farms in the region, sheltered at all times by a great lookout towards natural spaces such as Urbión, Cebollera or the Cuerda del Pozo reservoir. a quote that seeks to unite sport, nature and gastronomy.
The MTB gear has a short travel of 24 kilometers with a drop of 450 meters and a long circuit of 41 kilometers with a drop of 820 meters.
It is also possible to participate with e-bike in both modalities.
The appointment will start at 10:30 a.m. at the local fronton and will end at the football field of La Ermita.
The top three finishers in the short and long routes, both in the men’s and women’s categories, will receive a trophy, in addition to the largest club.
In addition to sports, In BTTrufa will have a space for the products of the area, both in the broker’s bag and in the supplies and in the multipurpose pavilion of the town, where after the appointment there will be a tasting of truffled products.
Companies from the town and the province have collaborated in this first edition. The participants will have as a gift a ticket for washing the bike, two tasting vouchers and products from the area.
There will also be a raffle for gifts among the numbers provided by companies from Soria, including a Black Truffle from Soria.
The I BTTrufa is organized by the Provincial Council of Soria and the City Council of Abejar and has the collaboration of two groups of the town, the Association ‘The Navazo’ and the Los Muros Cycling Club as well as with the sponsorship of Malvasía, La Torre Service Station, Monte Pinos and Romero Trophies.
