Bias. Judo: Julian and Hector Vincent on the Croatian tatami mats

Since its creation by Michel Mingo in 1987, the club biassais de judo has occupied the front of the stage, whether at the departmental, regional, national and now international level. Currently with 122 members, including 75 for the judo school alone, the club chaired by Jean-Marc Tonti, offers three days a week in addition to judo, ju-jitsu and taïso lessons, all provided by Professor Bruno Vincent, 5th dan black belt.

Trained from the age of three on the tatami of the municipal dojo by their dad Bruno, the brothers Julian and Hector Vincent, 20 spring this year, often had the honors of the press release. Very quickly, in fact, their dispositions for this sport which had become a passion, associated with their seriousness in physical preparation and a rapid understanding of the various techniques, earned them titles and medals in the championship in the different age categories, as well as convincing victories in national tournaments.

Everything for katas for three years

Julian was the first to discover the kata events (technical judo events) played in pairs. And started in the competition first with a partner of the club. Seduced in turn by this practice, Hector joins forces with his brother in 2019. From then on, the duo will shine with new brilliance. Gold medalists in the regional championship, they finished in 5th position in France.

Number 1 French under 23 in 2020, the tandem is selected for the European championships organized in Poland. Alas, the confinement ruins their hopes. After the white year of 2021, the competitions are back in 2022.

Head to Croatia in May

Left hungry two years ago, Julian and Hector. work hard With the reward of a place on the 3rd step of the podium of the French Katas championships for the under 23s and a qualification for the European championships which will take place on May 14 and 15 in Rijena, Croatia. A stage which will be preceded by a preparation course on April 23 and 24 in Reims.

Alongside their favorite sport, Julian and Hector are involved in a BPJEPS sports activities for all at the Departmental Olympic Committee in Boé. While waiting to pass the entrance exam soon to practice the profession of physiotherapist that they wish to prepare in Madrid from September 2022.
