BVB signs Marcel Lotka from Hertha BSC
Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the transfer of Marcel Lotka. The goalkeeper talent of Berlin Hertha comes to the new season.
Borussia Dortmund has signed keeper Marcel Lotka from Hertha BSC for the new season. Again kicker reported, his current employer only found out about the free transfer from BVB.
According to the report, neither Lotka himself nor his advisor and ex-BVB professional Florian Kringe informed Hertha before signing. Lotka is committed to BVB until 2024 and is intended to be the U23’s substitute keeper for Luca Unbehaun, who also acts as the third goalkeeper in the professional team.

“Marcel completes our goalkeeper team for the coming season,” U23 team manager Ingo Preuss is quoted as saying on the BVB website: “He is a goalkeeper who can develop and who has been able to show his potential in the regional league and recently even in the Bundesliga. We are very happy .”
Lotka made his Bundesliga debut in the 3-0 loss to SC Freiburg last matchday. Until then, he was mainly used for the club’s reserve team in the Regionalliga Nordost.
