CAC tennis: a great winter tournament and teams in great shape

The 2022 CAC Tennis Winter Tournament ended on Sunday March 6. A tournament where 120 participants competed with disputed matches, the pleasure of returning to competition for some with great performances and for all, the sharing of good times. Players from clubs in the department but also from neighboring departments such as Lot-et-Garonne.

The results

In senior men: Fernandez (3/6) from ASPTT Agen beat Scordamaglia (3/6) also from ASPTT Agen. In senior ladies, C. Souvay-Graille (15/3) from Montayral beats M.Pleynet (15) from the Beaumont-de-Lomagne club.

In men over 35: R.Ferraris (15/2) Saint-Etienne beats J.-P. Maux (15/3) Moissac.

In men over 50: R. Cathala (15/4) from Castelsarrasin beats Fraffy (30/1) from Valence-d’Agen.

In men over 65: M.Muller (30) from Nègrepelisse beats B. Chauderon (30/2) from Castelsarrasin.

And, consoling gentlemen: A. Sorge (30/3) Castelsarrasin beats N.Raynaud (30/3) de Castelsarrasin.

The ladies team 1 departmental champion

The CAC tennis teams are also hard at work in the race for titles. In the departmental championship, hats off to the female team 1 (Nathalie, Adeline and Marie-Françoise) who, by winning this weekend after a captivating meeting against a young team from Verdun-sur-Garonne , is Division 1 departmental champion.

The Castelsarrasinois club is also behind two men’s teams which are in the final of Division 1 (against Saint-Etienne) and Division 4 (against Valence-d’Agen).

In the Regional Championship, 5 teams from Castelsarrasinoises are involved in the Pyrenees Championship, the meetings of which began this weekend. Victory of the 1 men’s team against Goyrans and defeat of the 3 men’s team against Lavilledieu-du-Temple.
