Cahors. Pradines badminton in force at the first youth departmental trophy

This Sunday, November 14 took place at the Cabessut complex in Cahors, the first Departmental Youth Trophy 46.

This competition, co-organized by Comité 46 Badminton and the Pradines Badminton club, was eagerly awaited. Indeed, this first stage was normally scheduled for the end of September but following an overloaded schedule, it had to be postponed to November 14.

80 players were registered, including 35 Pradines Badminton badminton players. This open trophy from minibad (under 9 years old) to cadets (under 17 years old) therefore took place from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and we were able to attend 148 matches.

For many players this was a first experience and we can say that all of them did very well.

The very good results of Pradines Badminton prove the good health of the club and the very good recovery of the badminton school following these 2 difficult seasons.

4 gold medals, 6 silver and 10 bronze for the club, in other words the season is off to a very good start.

The next stage of the Departmental Youth Trophy 46 will take place in Biars on November 28th.

A big thank you to the many volunteers who provided catering, coaching and the score table throughout the duration of the competition.

Thank you also to the apprentice cooks who filled the refreshment bar with many cakes or pancakes.

Regional interclubs from next week:

This Sunday, November 21, the club’s regional team, which plays in regional 2, will travel to Toulouse to face Lavaur and Auch.

This is the first day of this group stage before any play-offs in the event of qualification.

Our encouragement for Léo, Fiona, Thibault, Fanny, Louan, Anaïs and their coach Baptiste.

“Clinic” on November 27 at Montat: Committee 46 is organizing a “clinic” (continuing education) on the theme: “the backhand at the service of performance”.

These trainings, in the form of demonstrations, exercises, are open to all (players, parents, PE teacher, others) to learn more about the technique, tactics of badminton.
