The Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ), through the Transversal Program of Physical Culture and Sports of the Art Area, invites all upper secondary and higher level students who belong to this institution to be part of the representative sports teams of the college.
By being part of a representative team, the student will be able to develop physically and technically in the discipline that they are passionate about, with the constant monitoring of a coach, in order to wear the colors of the Maximum House of Studies in state and national competitions.
These actions seek to contribute to their comprehensive training as well as instill in the university community virtues, attitudes and skills such as: honesty, responsibility, leadership, respect, teamwork, character building and commitment to physical and mental health.
The disciplines in which they can join are: chess, athletics, baseball, women’s basketball and 3×3, men’s basketball and 3×3, women’s football, men’s football, boxing, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, women’s handball and men’s handball
Also in sports such as judo and Olympic wrestling, karate-do, weightlifting, softball, taekwondo, tennis and table tennis, archery, men’s tochito, women’s tochito, indoor volleyball and men’s beach volleyball, indoor volleyball and women’s beach volleyball, as well as badminton, sports climbing and aerobics.
● CHESS
For students who are interested in being part of the Chess representative team, training days are Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Plantel II Preparatory Academic Unit, the responsible coach is Juan Francisco Hernández de León and their telephone contact is 492-205-65-39.
● ATHLETICS
For those who are interested in being part of the Athletics representative team, the training days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Carlos Vega Villalba Stadium, the responsible coach is Eduardo Cabrera Manríquez and his contact telephone number is 492-105-68-65.
● BASEBALL
The representative team of Baseball will train from Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the North Sports Unit in the Baseball Field, the responsible coach is Ernesto Espinoza Trejo and his telephone number is 492-111-91-19.
● BASKETBALL
For the students who are interested in being part of the Women’s Basketball and 3×3 representative team, training will be held Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the UAZ Siglo XXI Campus Basketball Gym, and the coach will be Luis Cepeda. Bernal 492-162-54-91. For students who wish to train Men’s Basketball and 3 × 3, the coach will be Albina Cerrillo Mancinas and her contact number is 493-111-03-81.
● FOOTBALL
For those who are interested in being part of the Bardas Women’s Soccer team, the training will be at the Unidad Deportiva Norte Campo #3 from Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the responsible coaches are Aylin Bautista 498-109-19-59 and Cristian Rodriguez 492-121-17-21.
In the case of Bardas Men’s Soccer, training will be from Monday to Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at the North Sports Unit with Alberto Carlos Carmona Sánchez 492-107-56-65.
The Women’s Soccer Football team will train from Monday to Friday from 4:00-7:30 pm at the North Sports Unit, Field 3, with coach Miguel Ángel Moreno Soto 492-136-27-05 and the Men’s Soccer Team. will be trained by Luis Martín García Saucedo 492-124-63-97.
● TOCHITO
The Tochito Men’s team will train from Monday to Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Benito Juárez Aldo Unit with Emmanuel Gaytán Rivera 492-107-18-45 and the Tochito Women’s team from Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. :00 to 7:00 also at the Benito Juárez Unit with Juan Castañón Escobedo 492-137-31-76.
● HANDBALL
The Women’s Handball team will train from Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Zacatecas Sports Center with Isaac Rodríguez Romero 492-900-81-96, and the men’s team on the same days and hours with Omar Neftalí Ortiz Medina 492 -245-11-71.
● VOLLEYBALL
The Men’s Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball team will train from Monday to Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, at the North Sports Unit in the Basketball Gym, with Javier Núñez Orozco 492-129-89-16. And the women’s team will train from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. at the UAZ S. It will train from Monday to Friday from 5:00 to 8:30 at the Carlos Vega Villalba Stadium, doors 10 and 11, with Irma Palos Suárez 492-115-60-14.
● WEIGHT LIFTING
The training will take place from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Prepa 1 and from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. outside the Campus UAZ Weightlifting gym, with José Castañón Oliveros 492117-99-30 and Edgar Manuel Lumbreras Sanchez 492-136-84-49.
● SOFTBALL
The softball team will train from Monday to Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Unidad Deportiva Norte Campo Baseball, with Rocío Berenice Espinosa Trejo 492-105-42-08.
● TAEKWONDO
For those who wish to train Taekwondo, the training will be from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 3:00 at the Campus UAZ S. XXI Gym, with Antonio Macías Reyes 492-206-16-70.
