Campo de Criptana Invests in Sports Advancement and Athlete Support
The Campo de Criptana City Council is demonstrating its commitment to fostering a thriving sports community by allocating a meaningful budget to support local clubs and athletes.
This year, the council has renewed agreements with 21 sports clubs, providing a total of €101,000 in financial assistance. These funds will be instrumental in enabling clubs to operate effectively, particularly through their vital sports schools which nurture young talent and instill valuable life skills.Mayor santiago Lázaro expressed his gratitude for the clubs’ dedication, highlighting their crucial role in shaping young athletes and instilling positive values.
Beyond direct club support, the city is also investing in enhancing its sports infrastructure. Following the successful renovation of the summer pool, work will soon commence on a new multi-sports area adjacent to the heated pool. This versatile space will provide clubs with an additional venue for training sessions and workshops.
Recognizing the importance of supporting athletes at a higher level,the 2022 Municipal Budget includes a dedicated €10,000 fund to assist athletes competing in national championships and other prestigious events. Mayor Lázaro emphasized the significance of empowering local athletes to represent campo de Criptana on a national stage.
