The two episodes on Friday evening in piazza degli Alpini and the following one in via Ariberto. The story and the appeal: «They look like kids but they are full of hatred. Someone has to intervene ”
“Someone has to intervene: these are a danger. The dead could also escape. They were full of hate. Some of them have only violence in mind. They look like children to you, but they are delinquents. Absurd because you can’t feel safe in Cantù, right in the center. Where these are around in the evening ».
Thus one of the thirty-year-olds attacked this weekend by the baby gang – the whole group is made up of about twenty teenagers, between 15 and 17 years old – injured in the head by throwing a can. Pursued by the pack. At La Provincia he tells what happened this weekend in the center: the two episodes, the attacks in piazza degli Alpini, on Friday evening, and in via Ariberto, on Saturday evening.
“A few stitches”
“In a way, I got away with a few stitches, my friend with a punch to the jaw. But she could have ended differently. If they caught up with us, she could go another way. We feel abandoned by the institutions – he adds – But where is justice? But why are those who carry out these gestures, and I know that some of them have collected various complaints, not put in a situation of not harming others? It would take more checks ».
Friday evening, 10.30pm. Two friends go out for a pizza and to watch the Inter match. Then they go back home: «Crossing them in the Piazza degli Alpini area, one of them touched my other friend inside: they were looking for the pretext, but not knowing who they were, we responded to their first words in kind. These have gone mad. In no time, someone threw a can at my head. We continued walking quickly, thinking it was over there. Instead they were chasing us with sticks, bars and whatnot. We started running ».
“They destroyed the door”
The two boys tried to seek shelter in a building: «We entered the staircase of a building. We were saved for five seconds. We closed the door with one of them behind – we basically pushed him out. We have moved. We called the Carabinieri. Later we saw that they had destroyed the door. ‘
Saturday, another evening. The baby gang has a fight – and takes the second injured in the head of the weekend – with another group of boys.
«They went to look with bars and stones for the boys with whom they had quarreled – concludes the young man – Called the Carabinieri, they disappeared. They divided into groups of two or three, in the various alleys. At one point, a dozen of them walked down the street dragging at least a couple of clubs on the ground. And they went to the building where, the night before, we had sought shelter. And where a shattered club was found. And some stones ».
And he concludes: «The Carabinieri have seized everything. I am convinced that on Saturday they brought the baseball bat on purpose to carry out that intimidating act ».
