It’s a real ceremony, with personalities and speeches, and all the actors, licensees and executives of the association, who awaited Célia in the multipurpose hall of the village for the presentation of her black belt in judo.
After a tribute to Évelyne Geny, emblematic former president of the MJC La Colombe, and thanks to the municipalities of Allain and Colombey, the mixed union of Grand Toulois and the departmental judo committee of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Fabien Deman , the president of the Judo Club, gave Célia Deman, 16, her first dan black belt.
A model for the club’s young judokas
It was a great moment of emotion and pride, for the club and its members and for Lucas Schaeffer, the teacher, because Célia is the first student he trained and accompanied until this distinction.
A moment of general emotion, especially for the person concerned, who has invested a lot to obtain this level. Recognized for being a successful judoka, an effective referee and a teaching assistant with great potential, Célia is already aiming to pass the second dan, as well as the professional qualification certificate (CQP) in judo.
Since the age of 5 on the tatami, Célia has been a personality and a model for the club’s young judokas, who have not failed to draw inspiration from her, winning numerous medals this weekend at the during a competition in Farébersviller.
