CELLS OF BULGHERIA. About 700 thousand euros for the restyling of the sports facility and for the removal of architectural barriers. This is the funding obtained by the Municipality of Celle di Bulgheria from the Department for Sport of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the completion of the sports area in the “Iacolina” area. A new fence for the sports field, a covered grandstand, new toilets for spectators, the adaptation of the soccer field to be used also for the practice of basketball and volleyball, the completion of the bowling green, an area for archery and the creation of a small “sensorial” garden. “The goal of the intervention – explained the mayor Gino Marotta – is to deliver to our young people a state-of-the-art sports facility, but above all accessible to all. The overcoming of architectural barriers will allow integration into sport even for those with motor difficulties “. Also planned is the arrangement of a parking area, the creation of a playground and new external lighting. “Despite the pandemic – reiterated the mayor – we have worked tirelessly in recent months to continue making our municipality more and more suitable for children and young people. We want our young people to grow up in healthy and welcoming, innovative and barrier-free environments. We are grateful to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for having financed our project, despite an initial refusal due to a misunderstanding which was overcome thanks to our technical office and the legal intervention of the lawyer Pasquale D’Angiolillo ”.
