The British group City Football Group, owner of Manchester City and other clubs in the world, would have expressed interest in buying 51% of Atlético’s potential, for R$ 1 billion. The information was given by journalist Rodrigo Capelo, from GE, this Monday (7).
Galo’s board, through its advisory, said that the matter is not being dealt with officially.
Two weeks ago, representatives of Galo and City CEO Ferran Soriano met to discuss business. The offer, however, would not have pleased the club, as the proposal would have been considered low.
According to the journalist, the estimated market value is around R$2 billion for Atlético.
Through the advisory, the club also informed that, at the moment, there is no prospect of implementing the SAF at Atlético.
