Preciado, who chose to remain in Mexico to avoid a potentially risky journey home, expressed his excitement about rejoining his teammates and resuming competition.”Those two years were incredibly challenging,” Preciado admitted. “Being away from my family and loved ones was arduous, but I made the decision to stay in Mexico to minimize the risk of contracting the virus during a long trip.I’m incredibly grateful for the support of the Interamerican University community, who consistently checked in on me and ensured my well-being during that time. This experience has fostered significant personal growth.”

Preciado’s debut season was abruptly cut short after only seven games due to the pandemic’s onset. Now, he returns with an unwavering hunger for victory and a burning desire to showcase his skills.

Yohan: Thanks for having me! It’s great to be back discussing the game I love.

Yohan: It was definitely a challenging time for everyone. Being away from my family in Colombia was incredibly tough, but I felt strongly about minimizing the risks associated with long-distance travel during the pandemic. The Interamerican University community was incredibly supportive, checking in on me regularly and providing a sense of belonging. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and understanding.

Moderator: You debuted for the Falcons only to have your season cut short. How did you stay motivated and focused during that time?

Yohan: Those seven games felt like a lifetime ago! It was frustrating to have my momentum interrupted, but I used that time to train, hone my skills, and reflect on my goals. I knew I had unfinished business on the court and was determined to build on what I had started.

Moderator: We all admire your dedication and perseverance. Now, let’s talk basketball. You play positions three and four – what strengths do you bring to the court?

Yohan: I consider myself a versatile player with a strong work ethic. I’m confident in my shooting abilities, my ability to drive to the basket, and my defensive presence.
