This man knows no boundaries.
Cristiano Ronaldo (37) is now the player with the most goals in football history. With his hat-trick in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Tottenham, the Portuguese snatched the official age-old FIFA record – Ronaldo has now scored 807 goals.
Ronaldo surpassed the record of the Czech Josef Bican († 88/ 805 goals), who had his best time in the 1930s and 1940s. As a national player, he led Austria to the semi-finals of the 1934 World Cup (finally 4th place). In 1936 he moved to Czechoslovakia, where the striker celebrated great successes with Slavia Prague.
Bican passed away in 2001, two years before Ronaldo’s first move to Manchester United.
Ronaldo is a record collector! He is the player with the most appearances (182) and goals (140) in the Champions League and the most final wins (5). He is also the only player to have scored in three Champions League finals. And and and…
But above all the new record he set on Saturday should be a record for eternity.
