“Discussions about my future are ongoing between the club and my representatives,” Square shared. “The timing isn’t a major concern for me. I’m happy here in Turin, Juventus feels like family.”
Square also took the chance to praise teammate Dusan Vlahovic, highlighting his crucial role in the team’s success. “Vlahovic is a vital asset to Juventus,” Square stated. “He possesses immense strength and considerably contributes to our team’s performance. his style of play perfectly suits Juventus, and he has tremendous potential for growth, promising exciting times ahead for our fans.”
When asked about his exceptional one-on-one skills,Square attributed his prowess to years of dedicated practice,starting from his time in Colombia. “Honing these skills has always been a priority for me,” he explained. “I had a coach in Colombia who emphasized their importance, and I continue to refine them to this day. I recognize the advantage they provide in creating numerical superiority on the field,and while I’m performing well,there’s always room for betterment.”
Square also reminisced about his knack for scoring crucial goals in the dying minutes of matches, citing his game-winning goal against Fiorentina as a prime example. “Scoring the decisive goal in the final moments of a match is an exhilarating feeling,” he recalled. “When the coach called on me against Fiorentina, I was eager to make an impact. I had a strong intuition that I could contribute something positive, and thankfully, it paid off. I often feel a sense of anticipation that something good will happen in the closing stages of a game, and I hope to experience these moments many more times.”
Beyond his on-field contributions, square also shared his admiration for young talent Marley Ake’, praising his fearless approach and predicting a bright future for the player. “Marley is a talented player who fills me with pride,” Square remarked. “He’s always eager to take on defenders, and I believe he has the potential to become a true champion.”
Known for his energetic dance celebrations, Square revealed that his passion for dancing is deeply rooted in his South American heritage. “Dancing is in our blood,” he laughed. “My son enjoys dancing at home too. john: It’s a pleasure to be here.
Moderator: Let’s dive right in. You’ve been a cornerstone of Juventus’ midfield for years. With rumors swirling about a potential contract renewal, what’s the latest on your future?
John: (chuckles) Well, as I mentioned recently, discussions are ongoing between my representatives and the club.Honestly, the timing isn’t a big deal for me.I’m happy here in Turin; Juventus feels like family. Provided that they want me,I see myself staying here.
Moderator: That’s great to hear,John.You spoke highly of Dusan Vlahovic in your recent DAZN interview, calling him a “vital asset.” What is it about his style of play that makes him such a valuable teammate?
John: Dusan is a powerhouse. He’s got incredible strength and skill,and his style just fits Juventus perfectly. The way he holds up the ball, creates space, and finds the back of the net is truly special. He’s still young, but his potential is frightening – Juventus fans have a lot to be excited about with him!
Moderator: Speaking of exciting, you’ve become known for your clutch performances, scoring crucial goals in the dying minutes of matches. Is there a particular mind-set you adopt in those pressure-cooker situations?
John: (smiles) There’s definitely a sense of anticipation when the clock is ticking down.I always feel like something good is going to happen, and I just try to be in the right place at the right time. I trust my instincts and my training. It’s an incredible feeling to deliver for the team when it matters most.
Moderator: You mentioned trusting your training. You’ve always been renowned for your remarkable one-on-one skills,a testament to years of dedication. Can you talk about the role that honing these skills has played in your career?
John: It all goes back to my childhood in colombia. I had a coach who drilled into me the importance of mastering these skills. He believed they allowed you to create numerical superiority on the pitch, and he was right. It’s something I continue to work on every day because even when things are going well,there’s always room for improvement.
Moderator: Absolutely. You’re also known for your flamboyant celebrations, especially those energetic dances! Where does that passion come from?
John: (laughs) It’s in my blood, I guess! dancing is a big part of our culture in south America. My son loves to dance as well; it’s something we share. Not everyone on the team is as excited about it, though. McKennie can hold his own, but Morata…well, he could use some lessons! [[1]]
Moderator: I bet! Let’s delve into your time on the pitch now.You named Camilo Zuniga as your toughest opponent. What made him so tough to face?
John: Zuniga was a beast. He was incredibly physical, fast, and he really knew my game inside and out thanks to our encounters when he was at Napoli. It was always a battle going up against him; you had to be at your absolute best to get the upper hand.
Moderator: John, you’ve played under some incredibly demanding coaches throughout your career. Who pushed you the hardest?
John: Guidolin was definitely a demanding coach. He always expected the best from us and wasn’t afraid to tell you when you weren’t meeting expectations. His critiques could be tough, but they always came from a place of wanting to see us improve. [[1]]]
