Chilpancingo Gro; March 4, 2022.- The Guerrero Health Secretariat (SSG) reported that as of March 3, the entity remains green in the Epidemiological Traffic Light with 333 active cases of COVID-19, of which 128 infections and 7 deaths from this cause were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Since the start of the pandemic, 97,314 confirmed cases and 6,674 deaths due to COVID-19 have accumulated in Guerrero, according to the report updated daily by state health.
At the national level, 35,788 active cases are registered, and the state of Guerrero is in 26th place with 333, which are mainly concentrated in the following municipalities:
Chilpancingo de los Bravo, 121; Acapulco de Juarez, 97; Ometepec, 20; Taxco de Alarcon, 15; Zihuatanejo of Azueta, 15; Chilapa de Alvarez, 13; Tixtla de Guerrero, 7; Eduardo Neri, 5; Iguala of Independence, 5; and Coyuca de Benitez, 4.
The report details that, although 128 new infections were confirmed in the last 24 hours, 1 corresponds to March 3, 40 to February and 87 to January.
In the last 24 hours, 7 deaths were confirmed, of which 2 correspond to February and 5 to August 2021.
At the national level, the percentage of COVID-19 bed occupancy is 16%, while at the state level it is 8%.
On the issue of hospital bed occupancy, the SSG reported that given the decrease in the pandemic indicators, it is working on hospital deconversion, that is, converting COVID beds to general beds for the care of various diseases.
In addition, the reactivation of 100% of the Preventive and Public Health Programs is in process.
