Jakob Pöltl and the San Antonio Spurs suffered a 112:115 home defeat against the Sacramento Kings in the National Basketball Association (NBA) on Thursday. The center from Vienna recorded 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in his 400th appearance in the regular league season. He came to 33:18 minutes operating time.
In the first home game in almost a month, the Spurs had to run behind most of the time. They only managed to take the lead for the first time about five minutes before the end. But the Californians countered and also prevented Gregg Popovich from scoring his 1,335. Celebrates victory as NBA coach and catches up with Don Nelson, who is still the sole leader.
“In our first game back at home we started weakly, turned a 19-point deficit into a lead, but didn’t find any good solutions in the end,” said Pöltl. Durant loses with nets on comeback
