Moderator: Coach nugroho, congratulations on securing a hard-fought victory against persipa Pati. The match was a tense affair, with both sides exhibiting an aggressive style of play. What were your initial thoughts on the tempo and tactical approach deployed by both teams?
Coach Adi Nugroho: Good evening.Thank you. Indeed, it was a highly competitive encounter. Both teams came out with a desire to control posession and dictate the pace, which led to a frenetic opening few minutes. Persipa pati, under Coach Haris, is a well-organized side renowned for their disciplined defensive structure. We anticipated a tough challenge and prepared accordingly.
Moderator: That’s evident. Putra Delta showed great attacking intent from the outset, with Aldi Satria almost finding the net within the first ten minutes. What specific instructions did you give your players to break down Pati’s defense?
Coach Adi Nugroho: We studied Persipa Pati’s defensive patterns extensively. We knew they relied on a compact midfield and a high defensive line. Our aim was to utilize fast passing and movement to exploit the gaps between their midfield and defense. Aldi Satria, with his pace and dribbling ability, was a key figure in our attacking strategy.
Moderator: Speaking of Persipa Pati, their talisman Muhammad Fariz came close to scoring on a couple of occasions. Your goalkeeper, perhaps, deserves much of the credit for keeping a clean sheet.
Coach Adi Nugroho: Absolutely. Fariz is a dangerous player, capable of creating magic out of nothing. Our goalkeeper, unfortunately, hasn’t received the recognition he deserves. He was exceptional today, making crucial saves at key moments. His composure and reflexes were instrumental in preserving our lead.
Moderator: The turning point undoubtedly came with the penalty awarded to Putra Delta. It seemed a bit contentious, was it a clear-cut penalty in your eyes?
Coach Adi Nugroho: It was a penalty. There was clear contact inside the box. While I understand Persipa Pati’s frustration,I believe the referee made the correct decision.
Moderator: Muhammad Adam Malik, known for his composure, slotted the penalty with precision. Was there a specific plan in place for penalty kicks, or was it Malik’s decision to take charge?
Coach Adi Nugroho: We practise penalties regularly, ensuring each player has a designated penalty routine. Adam Malik is our designated penalty taker, and he demonstrated his coolness under pressure once again.
Moderator: Looking towards the next round, what lessons will you take away from this match? Any areas you feel Putra Delta needs to improve upon?
Coach Adi Nugroho: Every match presents a learning curve. While we’re happy with the victory, we recognize there’s always room for enhancement. Our passing accuracy coudl have been better at times, and we need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Moderator: Coach Nugroho, thank you for your insightful analysis. We wish Putra Delta sidoarjo all the best in their Liga 3 journey.
