The Miami dolphins have officially moved on from the possibility of acquiring Deshaun watson. General Manager Chris Grier stated on Wednesday that the team is committed to developing Tua Tagovailoa and will not be pursuing the Houston Texans quarterback.

If Watson is indeed cleared of all charges, the potential reward is huge – he’s a proven talent that could elevate any team.But, the risk is equally substantial. The legal ramifications, potentially damaging the team’s image and morale, it’s a gamble they probably weren’t willing to take.
Moderator: you touch upon a vrey vital point, Dan. The dolphins have seemingly decided to take a calculated risk on Tua Tagovailoa, despite his mixed performances in his first two seasons. <2[1]> what are your thoughts on Tua’s potential?
Dan: Tua has shown flashes of brilliance, no doubt about it. He’s got great arm talent and obvious athleticism. But he needs to become more consistent. There’s a lot of pressure being the quarterback in Miami, and I think he’s still developing mentally, learning to deal with the pressure and expectations.
Moderator: Agreed. Consistency is key in this league. And what good is immense talent without the right supporting cast? Do you think the Dolphins are doing enough to build a team around Tua to help him succeed?
Dan: With their draft position, they’re in a good spot to address some needs. They need to strengthen the offensive line, add some more playmakers at receiver, and bolster the defense. Miami has a rich history of exciting offenses, they need to return to that explosive brand of football if they want to win big.
Moderator: So, you’re cautiously optimistic about Tua’s future?
Dan: I wouldn’t say cautious. I’m excited to see what he can do with a full offseason and a year under his belt with this coaching staff. He needs to prove corners, and I believe he has the potential to be a very good quarterback in this league.
