“Clay is the surface on which I am most comfortable”
The former world number 3, who fell to 50th ATP rank, announced on Monday his package for the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells (March 7-20) and Miami (March 21 – April 3). “I’ve just had a really good weeks of training, the wrist is fine, the hand is getting better and better, but I’ve still decided not to play Indian Wells and Miami and start on clay”he said in a video on Instagram.
« It is the surface on which I am most comfortable, it seems to me to be ideal to start on it”, added Thiem, who we could see again at the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo (April 9-17).
