Gianluigi Donnarumma has been criticized for his decision to move to Paris Saint-Germain. AC Milan coach legend, Arrigo Sacchi, said the player chose the wrong money.

Donarumma left Milan in the summer of last year, and chose to join PSG. The 23-year-old goalkeeper left the Rossoneri, who have been orbiting him since he was young.

At PSG, Donnarumma just failed to bring his team to compete in the Champions League. The Parisians eliminated by Real Madrid 2-3 on aggregate in the round of 16.

In that defeat, Donnarumma made a blunder for Madrid’s first goal, which was scored by Karim Benzema. The Italian goalkeeper was playing in his own territory, before finally passing the ball wrong.

The ball was taken by Vinicius Junior, and he passed it to Benzema. The French striker without difficulty struck the ball into the PSG goal.

After the defeat, Gianluigi Donnarumma was again reminded of his mistake for leaving AC Milan, and moving to Paris Saint-Germain. Arrigo Sacchi, Milan’s legendary coach, criticized him.

“He made a mistake in choosing money. I also told his father and mother last summer here at Milano,” Sacchi told Corriere della Sera, reported by Marca.

“I had to stay at Milan, not out of gratitude, but because it’s an ideal place to develop. Never leave a place where you feel good. But he’s still a great champion. I’ve known him since he was a kid, still a kid, in the youth team of the national team,” he said.

So far, Gianluigi Donnarumma has played 18 times at Paris Saint-Germain. He has conceded 14 times and has only kept 8 clean sheets.
