The police have arrested dozens of football supporters after the match between PSV and FC Copenhagen on Thursday evening in Eindhoven.
It was already restless in the city prior to the game, the police said. The Mobile Unit had to intervene “several times” to prevent clashes between the two groups. Officers on horseback were also deployed. After the match, which ended in a tie (4-4), several dozen supporters were “looking for another confrontation”. They were arrested and taken to the police station.
After those arrests, peace returned around the stadium, the police said.
