This weekend one of the most popular and competitive masters on the national badminton circuit was held in Alfajarín (Aragón), with 200 players from all over the country. The players of the El Campello badminton club Mateo Fernández and Miguel Payà (sub15) and Elena Payà (sub19) attended this event, in which all of them triumphed in the participating modalities.
In sub15, Miguel and Mateo were runners-up in men’s doubles, reaching the grand final where they lost against the number 1 in the ranking. In individual, Mateo reached the quarterfinals, where he lost to the runner-up of the category.
The top winner of the club, but also of the competition, was Elena Payà, winning the mixed doubles with her partner Álvaro Morán from the IES la Orden de Huelva club, and winning the women’s doubles with her partner Ana Caballero from the Alicante club.
